Happy Canada Day!

Canada DayThe McBride and District Chamber of Commerce would like to extend our thanks and sincere appreciation to the following volunteers, without whom the event would not have been possible.

Our intrepid BBQers who, in scorching heat, managed to feed the hungry throng.

Mayor Mike Frazier, who gave the Village address and read out the greetings from Shirley Bond, MLA and Ashley Desarmeau who led the singing of “O Canada”.

D & A Ranch for their chuck wagon BBQ.

Thanks go to the Whistle Stop Gallery, McBride Visitor Centre, Odds’n’Ends and McBride and District Public Library volunteers who were responsible for all the happy kids and parents having fun in the sun – a special thank you to the McBride Ambulance Service for the teddy bear and blood pressure clinic.

A bang up three gun salute to the McBride and District Volunteer Fire Department who put on a fantastic fireworks display.
A special THANK YOU to Heritage Canada and the “Celebrate Canada” program who helped provide funding along with the Village of McBride and the McBride and District Chamber of Commerce.

And finally, and most importantly you – who came out, had fun and made the day happen – we couldn’t have done it without you!!!

Happy Canada Day!
